The Truth of Time
The mountain tops shiver
As the snow begins to shower
The water flows to cover
The secrets of the river.
The birds trill near the lake
As the morning sun awake
The lion cub to take
The crown for the sake.
The windows patter
The things clatter
The world scatter
As our deeds matter
In the quiet corners of the heart's abyss,
Where shadows linger, and echoes reminisce,
Where all the happiness was left in vain,
And all that is left is a world filled with pain.
The pain turned into anger,
And the anger to tears,
But no one wanted to hear,
Leading me to veer.
There were moments, I saw my pain face me,
I knew it was a facade that breaks me,
All I had left was heart pain and a little bit of hurt,
But everything around seemed to be inert.
So tell me how do I cope with this pain?
Could this be something that could be slain?
But I couldn’t afford to be astray,
So put a big smile on the next day.
