Virtual connect- A new era was about to begin, In the life of a teacher.
Excitement, preparation, enthusiasm, and more importantly nervousness. These were the feelings flowing in me before I started the Online classes.
I felt a different chapter was opening up in my journey as a teacher. I was so happy and excited to see my little buddies after a long break due to this COVID – 19 situation.
Preparation started from a month earlier. With professional training, orientation, content planning, and a lot of well-laid, structured, and thoughtfully developed sessions by our extremely trained PD team and Ekya Learning center members. I would say that I have no words to express my gratitude to all their hard work and effort to prepare us for this new connection.
Hats off to Ekya. Special affirmation to all the Professional Development team and ELC members.
The journey was going on and was eagerly waiting for the first day of this Virtual connection!
And finally the arrival of the Day to meet my source of happiness- My little kids! Thoughts were flowing like an ocean the previous day, filled with a lot of eagerness to meet and exchange joy with each other. In fact, a teacher’s profile is incomplete without students!
Woke-up with full spirit on the first day, got connected to the online platform to meet my sweeties, and one by one they were logging in, and the sweet voices echoed saying, “Good morning ma’am, How are you, nice to see you.” Their innocence, love, affection, connectivity!! – all this filled my soul and my body with the nectar of bliss!
The flow went on, and my students were super-excited about the new platform. Take it from my friends, Technology acted as a boon for this mutual connectivity. Thanks to Technology. Even though it has its own pros and cons, in today’s situation, it has acted as a great medium to build up this mutual connection. I found that the kids were eagerly waiting for this connectivity and were waiting to learn new concepts, grasp new skills with full keenness and energy.
Sometimes, I get nervous, when there will be internet issues, connectivity problems…stress flows in my nerves when it takes time to finish updates. Phew! The negative energy gets released when it starts working.
And in this way, my new era, my new voyage started and I am really really happy with this new era!! Kids and teachers are both happy with the structured, well laid, and organized teaching-learning process.
Thank you. Stay safe and stay healthy.
