Dressed in yellow they enchanted and enthralled all of us.
Wonderful dance performances, melodious songs to fill the hearts and information to fill minds—this and much more were on display during the Grade I-B class assembly.
The theme of the assembly was the beautiful and most-awaited season of the year—spring. Spring is the most pleasant season in India. It is important for farmers. Besides, spring is also the season for many Hindu festivals.
Festivity is in the air, and celebrations start with Basant Panchami, considered the birthday of Goddess Saraswati. The most significant aspect of Basant Panchami is that it is also the most auspicious day to begin laying one’s foundations of education—of how to read and write. The season ends with Holi, a colourful festival which brings joy and happiness to one and all.
The festive and colourful spirit of spring was depicted aptly by students. They presented two group dances showing Basant Panchami and Holi celebrations. Here are some glimpses of the wonderful class assembly for you. Enjoy!
The visual treat of the children’s performances continued with the Montessori students showcasing their talent.
