    At Ekya, children are encouraged to be thinkers, doers, and change-makers. So in addition to living the lesson in their learning environments, they participate in various co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities. These include representing the Ekya colours at various inter-school competitions – a mix of sports, literary events, theatre, music, and art. Here are some of our success stories from across the calendar.

     

    KISA (Karnataka ICSE Schools Association) Competitions

    Vaibhav Kini of Grade 8 from Ekya School JP Nagar secured third place in the Table Tennis Tournament (under 14 category). He will also represent the state at the National Level.

     

    KISA (Karnataka ICSE Schools Association) - Declamation Competition

    Jahnavi Rajesh of Grade 10, Ekya School JP Nagar won first place in the KISA declamation competition at KISA – UTSAV, Karnataka.

    Maya Prashanth of Grade 9, Ekya School JP Nagar secured third place in the same competition.

     

    Vistas 2019 Quiz Competition

    The Junior team from Ekya School JP Nagar won the Runner-Up position at the 27th edition of Vistas 2019 Quiz Competition conducted by Innisfree House School. The competition witnessed participation from more than 20 schools in Bangalore.

    Second Place In Write And Recite At Ankur 2018

    Shreya Siddharth, grade 6 of Ekya School JP Nagar secured second place in write and recite at Ankur 2018 hosted at Mirambika School for the new age.

     

    Best Speaker In Frank Anthony Public School Council Debate

    Trishika Kiran Rao of grade 10 was awarded as the best speaker in Frank Anthony Public School council debate hosted at Little Flower Public School.

     

    Second Runners Up At Silver Sky Cup Basketball Tournament

    Junior basketball boys (U11) team of Ekya School JP Nagar won the second runners up at Silver Sky Cup basketball tournament.

     

    First Place in Bebras India Challenge

    Rishikesh Kanakatte Muralimohan, Grade 4 of Ekya School JP Nagar secured first place in the 2018 Bebras India Challenge. The 2018 Bebras India Challenge was held from 19th – 30th November for age groups 8-18 years.

    The Bebras 2018 India Challenge had the participation of 1,37,081 students from 380 schools across 12 states of India. Bebras is an international student Computational Thinking Challenge organized in over 40 countries, designed to get students all over the world excited about computing. The Bebras challenges are made up of a set of short problems called Bebras tasks. The tasks are fun, engaging and require logical thinking, and can be solved without prior knowledge of computational thinking.

     

    First Place at the MaRRS International Math Bee Championship

    Skanda P, Grade 7 student of Ekya School JP Nagar secured First Place at the MaRRS International Math Bee Championship held in December 2018 at Dhruv Global School, Pune. He was awarded a cheque of Rs 5000 along with the trophy and certificate. Students from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerela, Gujrat, Maharashtra, Dubai, Qatar, and Sharjah participated in the competition.

     

    First Runner-up at the ASISC National Literary Competition

    After bagging 1st place in the Karnataka ICSE Schools Association Literary Debate event in Bangalore, Trishikha Kiran Rao of Grade 10 and Prasidh Pradeep of Grade 9 of Ekya School JP Nagar, secured the 1st runner-up in the National Level Debate event at the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate National Literary Events, organized in Hyderabad.

     

    Runner-ups at Orchard Interschool Throwball Tournament

    Finishing as runner-ups at the Orchard Interschool Throwball tournament, the Ekya JP Nagar Girls Throwball team has done us proud. Ms. Sharvari Ramesh, from the school team, was adjudged ‘The Best Player’ of the competition.

     

    Adjudged as Best Bowler

    Pritish Javeria made us proud by being declared the ‘Best Bowler’ at the Inchara Cup 2017, also adjudged as the Man of the Match.

     

    Winning Junior Literature Festivals

    Saanvi Kulkarni of Grade V bagged first place in the ‘Grammar Galore’ and Krish Rajesh Iyengar of Grade III came in second in the ‘Bingo with a Twist’ at the inter-school fest – One Stop English Juniors Festival of English Literature.

     

    Ekya at The Vistas 2018

    Representing the Ekya colours at The Vistas 2018, an inter-school literary competition hosted by Innisfree House School, students from Ekya JP Nagar did us proud by securing winning positions in several events:

    Saanvi Kulkarni of Grade VI stood second in English Creative Writing.

    Rohith Maiyya of Grade V stood second in English Debate Juniors.

    Misha Raichandani of Grade VII stood third in English Elocution Seniors.
