Jyothi Menon
Head of School, Ekya School ITPL
Mrs. Menon brings her vast experience in early childhood education to Ekya School ITPL. Having served and led premier institutions including Little Hearts, Jamshedpur, Carmel Convent and CMR National Public School in Bangalore, she is able to efficiently spearhead a team of diverse educators. As the founding head of school for Ekya School ITPL, she strongly believes in changing the conventional ways of teaching to bring about a new, modern and practical approach towards learning. Her personable charm and genuine love for children further helps in creating an environment which is conducive to learning and doing.
Mrs. Menon holds a Bachelor’s from Calcutta University and a Masters in Education from Bangalore. She has attended professional development programs hosted by CBSE and CIE. Beyond her role as a creative educator, she is an avid reader who is passionate about pets, theatre and the arts.
Rajini Ashok
Senior Academic Coordinator, Ekya School ITPL
Ms. Rajini Ashok is the Senior Academic coordinator at Ekya ITPL. With 13 years of experience in the scholastic environment, Ms. Rajini worked in Pune as a Trained Graduate Teacher, handling the subjects of Mathematics and Science while also being in-charge as Academics and Co-curricular coordinator. Prior to Ekya, she was the Quality Head at Whitefield Global School, Bangalore and served as the Academic Coordinator at Vydehi School of Excellence, Bangalore. At Ekya ITPL she works towards building community between students and teachers, focuses on the delivery of quality education and coordinates with other schools to implement the best practices and CCE pattern.
Ms. Rajini holds a B.Sc in Chemistry with a B.Ed in the Physical Science and Mathematics and MA in Literature. She is a state level Shuttle Badminton player and also has represented her District in Ball Badminton and Javelin. A music aficionado, Ms. Rajini plays the keyboard and guitar in her free time.
Ms Gayathri S
Pre-primary Coordinator, Ekya ITPL
Ms Gayathri is an enthusiastic teacher and an able administrator. Having obtained her B.Tech in Biotechnology from SASTRA University, she found her passion in teaching.
Driven by the love for teaching young minds, she persuaded a formal training in Montessori education from IMTC. Bangalore following which she joined EKYA.
A stickler for discipline, she is highly organized and methodical in her work. She is ever willing to take up new challenges, striving hard to excel.
When she is not teaching loves to knit, travel or cook.
Ms Chitra Venkateswaran
Co Curricular Coordinator, Ekya ITPL (Grades 6 to 12)
Ms Chitra, a professional in Applied Art from the Sir J.J Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai has varied experience in the corporate world and Teaching. She started her career with the corporate giant Reliance Industries. Her love for teaching took over to being a lecturer at B.D Somani Institute of Art and Fashion. Ms Chitra also worked with publishing houses in the Middle East. She has been a passionate Visual Art Teacher in Dubai and believes in the therapeutic effect of Art. As someone who takes a keen interest in singing and writing, Ms Chitra believes co-curricular activities play a very important role in shaping up a child’s personality and encouraging them in such endeavours equips them better in handling life’s situations.
Ms Lavanya Nair
Co Curricular Coordinator, Ekya ITPL (Grades 1 to 5)
Ms Lavanya Nair is a proficient educator with demonstrated ability to teach and motivate students.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Home Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Textiles and Clothing.
She comes with a decade of solid experience in teaching students in both India and the USA.
She is a trained classical dancer with interest in music, art and fitness.
With a dynamic personality, she is self-motivated with strong organizational abilities and leadership skills.
Ms. Shiza Khan
Primary Academic Coordinator
Ms. Shiza Khan is the Primary Academic Coordinator at Ekya ITPL. She has been with Ekya for two years and has been an educator for 6 years. She has worked with different CBSE and ICSE schools, and as a teacher, she specializes in English. She believes in quality and holistic education. She is passionate about creating a relaxed environment for students at Ekya-ITPL by stimulating conversations and encouraging a positive learning environment throughout the school.
Ms. Shiza holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, a Master’s Degree in English, and is CTET qualified. She loves debates and discussions and believes that good communication is key to success. Besides that, she is fond of pets and has an inclination towards art and music.
Ms Anupriya Mahto
Middle School Academic Coordinator
Ms Anupriya Mahto is the Middle School Academic Coordinator. With a vast experience of 15 years, she has worked in many institutions like Children’s Academy, Ryan International and DPS. She specializes in Business Studies and Accounts as a teacher. She believes that more than educators, one has to be a facilitator for the students playing a vital role in shaping their lives. At Ekya ITPL, she values each person’s opinions and ideas to ensure students feel welcomed and to create a learning environment for all.
Ms Mahto holds a Masters Degree in Finance and B.Ed in Commerce. She has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Mrs Smriti Irani former Education Minister for giving excellent results in Grade XII. She loves to interact with the children and believes it is very important to be a patient listener. Apart from this, she loves to travel and is fond of reading books.
