At Ekya, children are encouraged to be thinkers, doers and change makers. So in addition to living the lesson in their learning environments, they participate in various co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities. These include representing the Ekya colours at various inter-school competitions – a mix of sports, literary events, theatre, music, and art. Here are some of our success stories from across the calendar.
Volksfiesta 2019
Ekya School ITPL participated in various competitions at Volksfiesta 2019. Our students excelled in Nukkad Natak, Action Quest, Smart Moves, Comic Strip Making, Dabang debonair, design hackathon- Product Design, Danspiration, Football, and Basketball boys.

Grade 11 and 12 students of Ekya School ITPL bagged the DMUN- Best Delegation Award at Volksfiesta.
Niyathi Meghana won the Outstanding Delegate Award, Pratyoosh Venkatraj won the Honourable Delegate Award, and Atharva Chandra received Special Mention.
VIVUM 2019
At VIVUM 19, our students from Ekya School ITPL gave an outstanding performance in Gully Cricket, Iced Street Challenge, and Dance Off.
We lifted the winner’s trophy in the Cricket Match. Mithul Bhat of grade 11 received an award of ‘The Most Valuable Player.’
At the Iced Street Challenge, the first position was bagged by Our Head Boy Kiran Natarajan.
Rushil Kolipaka reached the final round in Dance off.
WGS Fest- Wings Of Fire-2019
Students of Grade 11 and 12, Ekya School ITPL won a Runner Up position at the WGS Fest- Wings Of Fire-2019, an Inter-School competition on business plan presentation. Members of Team Ekya were Atharva Chandra, Grade 11, Anirudh Kudavelly Grade 11, Niyathi M Devalapalli Grade 12 and Kiran Natarajan Grade 12.
The students were given a product and they had to prepare a business plan on spot and present it before the judges. The product given to our students was a Posture Corrector. Our students named their product as Paralign and spoke about the company’s marketing strategy, mission, vision and the features of the product. Our students gave an outstanding presentation using PowerPoint.
Ekya Stands Tall at Open National Karate Championship
Students of Ekya School ITPL triumph at Open National Karate Championship held recently at Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bangalore. In a tournament with over 1500 participants, our students gave their best and secured wins in various categories. Here are our champions under the guidance and coaching of Karate Instructor, Sensei Kashyapa:
Manitha Reddy – Grade 6, Likhita E H – Grade 6, and Deeksha – grade G secured first place
Arnav Ghosh – Grade 2, Samarth Ghosh- Grade 2, and Darsh Porwal – Grade 2 secured second place
Sohan B – Grade 8 secured third place.
Rolling Back the Years and Winning
Students of Ekya School ITPL – Raghu Ranganathan, Kevin Mahesh and Gaurav Goverdhan did Ekya
proud by winning the ‘Retrospective Coding’ event at DPS East. They had to create clones of specific
retro games and also design their own games – each game carrying a certain set of points. Not far from the event, Abhik S and Karthika S of Grade 12 finished as runners-up in the Literary Quiz competition at DPS East.
Close finish at 'Bring a Smile Foundation' Football Tournament
Grade 11 students of Ekya ITPL finished as runners-up position at the ‘Bring a Smile Foundation’ Football Tournament, held at VeloCT, Sarjapur Road.
The winning line-up includes Trishank M, Abhay Warrier, Adarsh Kaviraj, Dhruv Menon, Tanay Singh, Samarth B, and Mukund Narayan.
Adjudged as Best Bowler
Pritish Javeria made us proud by being declared the ‘Best Bowler’ at the Inchara Cup 2017, also adjudged as the Man of the Match.
Winning Junior Literature Festivals
Saanvi Kulkarni of Grade V bagged first place in the ‘Grammar Galore’ and Krish Rajesh Iyengar of Grade III came in second in the ‘Bingo with a Twist’ at the inter-school fest – One Stop English Juniors Festival of English Literature.
