The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’; the festival marks the triumph of good over evil. When the diyas are lighted their glow illuminates even the darkest of nights which signify the enlightenment of soul and the triumph of good over evil. It is about overcoming the darkness of ignorance and propagating the light of knowledge.
Children at Ekya Early Years, JPNagar were excited to see the story of Rama and Narakasura, sing songs on Diwali, light the diyas in the glasses they had painted.
The sun does not shine there, nor does the moon and the stars, nor do lightning shine, all the lights of the world cannot be compared even to a ray of the inner light of the self. Merge yourself in this light of lights and enjoy the supreme Deepavali.
Wishing all our parents ‘a very happy and a prosperous Deepavali!
“We were all children once. And we all share the desire for the well-being of our children, which has always been and will continue to be the most universally cherished aspiration of humankind."
