The Indian mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22 December 1887. It was in recognition of his contribution to mathematics the Government of India decided to celebrate Ramanujan’s birthday as the National Mathematics Day every year. To celebrate this occasion, students of grades 5 to 9 of EKYA, ITPL conducted a special assembly programme. Some of the events were Quiz, Short play, Student’s talk, Amazing facts etc.
"The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love and goodness."
Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Ekya School JP Nagar on 23rd December 2015. Students of Grade 7 and 8 presented a wonderful play depicting the birth of Lord Jesus. The choir group comprising students from Grades 2 to 6 sang Christmas carols in English, Hindi and Kannada. Four of our students of Grades 6 & 8 played some soothing instrumental music using the keyboard and guitar. The arrival of Santa Claus cheered the spirits of the children. In keeping with the Christmas spirit, the whole school wore a festive look.
Along with the enthusiasm, fun and activities of celebrations, the qualities of sensitivity and simplicity were highlighted.
