University Interaction – Liberal Studies
In today’s day and age, it is more important than ever for students to be ahead of the competition and make the right decisions during their educational journey. With our 12th graders passing out soon and their juniors looking to get ahead with college admissions, another Meet the University event was hosted for them. Students of grades 9-12 tuned in this afternoon to explore college opportunities in the field of liberal studies. We met with the representatives of three esteemed, liberal studies colleges multidisciplinary colleges- FLAME University, KREA University & Ashoka University.
Liberal studies are quickly becoming a highly sought after field due to the focus on applicability and research opportunities. So students were greatly encouraged to attend this live webinar to interact with the representatives of some of India’s best liberal arts colleges.
Students were shown around the campuses, all of which are architectural wonders. Next, they were introduced to various courses and disciplines. The options for majors, minors as well as honours degrees were presented to them.
The program structure of the colleges was explained as well. All our colleges, apart from providing competitive academic courses, also mandate experiential learning courses that allow students to give back to society by using research to bring about positive change in the world around them. Industry work experience is also encouraged by all colleges, promoted with the help of various internship opportunities.
Fee structures were properly disclosed and options for scholarship programs were presented as well. Toward the end of every presentation, students eagerly put their queries forward and the representatives diligently handled them all.
All in all, this made for a highly engaging session and such interactions help our students make better, informed decisions about their future.
