Children were dressed in costumes representing India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. It was a treat for the eyes to see them dressed in colourful attire. They greeted their teachers in their local language and were also shown different dresses of India through a presentation.
We at Ekya believe in the holistic development of every child. We give importance to the development of both sides of the brain, left and right, through activities connected with logic and creativity.
Our children participate in various activities within the school and outside and have proven themselves always.
‘Small Hands, Big Art’ is one such art activity conducted by The Hindu in collaboration with Lalit Kala Academy and Sir JJ Institute of Applied Arts across India where children as young as 4½ years have participated. Of these, three of our students were winners among the 150 selected across.
We are thrilled to acknowledge these little-talented artists and want to share the joy with the Ekya family!
