CMR National Public School

CMR National Public School is a premier educational institution which grew under the gracious patronage of Dr. K P Gopalakrishna, Chairman of National Education Trust and Mrs. Shantamma Gopalakrishna, Dean – National Public Schools.

CMR National Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education since the year 1993. The school offers quality education from Montessori/ Kindergarten through Grade XII.

Bee Lian Kehk

Bee Lian has taught Art in local secondary schools for four years before being invited to join the Art Unit at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, Ministry of Education, Singapore. As a Curriculum Planning Officer, she contributed to the development of the ‘N’, ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels Art syllabuses, which were launched in 2006. In addition, she was the editor for one issue of “ARTiculate”, an Art Unit magazine that is distributed to all schools and higher institutions in Singapore. Bee Lian has also participated in group exhibitions when in NIE and in Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interest is in the teaching and learning of art in local classrooms. She teaches pedagogy modules in the academic group.

Malia / Playdough to Plato

Malia, the founder of Playdough to Plato has been a primary grade teacher since 2003. Malia provides an online forum for teachers and educators to use helpful tricks and tips when dealing with the mathematics, reading and writing curriculum for younger children.

Teachers can access resources for their classrooms that vary from math activity packs, reading activity packs, writing activity packs to theme based packs that offer core learning areas being taught in the class. A range of activities like book lists, follow ups to books, holiday activities, learning to sound out words, sight word games, writing projects and math games are available for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2 level students.

The Flippen Group

Flippen Group strives to guide schools and educational institutions to enhance their overall working environment. Be it the student’s interaction with teachers, the support of the administration towards the teachers or the administrator’s support to the student body.

The training modules include capturing kids’ hearts, leadership blueprint, organization blueprint, process champions, teen leadership certification and Flippen leadership connection.

Emphasis is laid on character building, personality development and non- academic skill development which in the long run serve a higher purpose before children can benefit from the curriculum and academic skills needed for success.
