The following after school activities are conducted at Ekya School JP Nagar for academic session 2016-17:

Avanti is an award winning, venture-backed education company started by IIT and Harvard University alumni. Avanti helps high-school students and pre-university students study math and science through Peer Instruction – a method originally developed by Avanti’s advisor, Prof. Eric Mazur, Dean of Physics at Harvard University and adapted to the Indian context by Avanti. Ashoka, Forbes, Echoing Green and Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation have recognised Avanti’s work. Avanti’s investors include Pearson, the world’s largest education company and the Dell Foundation.
Avanti Learning Centres conducts science and math classes for our high school students every Tuesday and Thursday between 3 pm to 5 pm in Ekya campus.

Conducted by Inoyise, the Robotics Program gives students an insight into the world of robotics, automation and engineering. The program gives students hands-on exposure to the practical usage of the physics and engineering that they study. Through an immersive learning experiences, students hone their skills of thinking creatively, learning important scientific concepts, and learning visually.

Trinity College, London’s Courses in English Elocution, Speech & Drama and Communication Skills
Ekya School offers a course in Elocution and Speech & Drama, in association with All for Kids – India’s largest elocution training institution for children. The All for Kids trainers help students expand their ability in public speaking and help students create a confident stage presence. The curriculum has a focus on language development and creativity, and executes this through carefully planned sequences of theatre activities, role-plays, speeches and diction exercises. At the end of the program, students have the opportunity of appearing for the Grade examinations and receiving a globally recognised certificate.

The Vasista program teaches children math and reasoning skills through Tarkashastra and Vedic Math. Tarkashastra, based on Gothama Rishi’s ancient science ‘Nyayashastra’ is a system of logic and reasoning. Vedic Math trains students in the fastest method of calculation. The Tarkashastra program is offered to students between the age group of 6 to 10 years; and the Vedic Math program is offered to students between the age of 11 to 14 years.

Environment Club

Ekya’s Environment Club harnesses students empathy for the natural world and teaches them to look for solutions to the problems that they see around them.

Visual Art
Visual Art classes are conducted after school hours for students who are interested in learning finer techniques than those covered in the curriculum. Students learn about various techniques of visual expression like abstract art, glass painting, Madhubani, contemporary and realistic art.

Students are trained in the technical intricacies of classical music.
