We at Ekya believe in the holistic development of every child. We give importance to the development of both sides of the brain, left and right, through activities connected with logic and creativity.
Our children participate in various activities within the school and outside and have proven themselves always.
‘Small Hands, Big Art’ is one such art activity conducted by The Hindu in collaboration with Lalit Kala Academy and Sir JJ Institute of Applied Arts across India where children as young as 4½ years have participated. Of these, three of our students were winners among the 150 selected across.
We are thrilled to acknowledge these little-talented artists and want to share the joy with the Ekya family!
Hands-on activity is an integral part of the learning methods at Ekya. Students of Grade I C made models of the Earth with play dough to understand better and demonstrate the concepts of rotation and revolution. They also learnt the meanings of the colours used in Geography through this activity, using blue to represent water and brown to indicate land.
