We all know that participating in a game is the first step, and of course “winning” adds the crowning glory for participation.
This is what happened to the two students of Ekya School JP Nagar who participated and won medals in the 15th State Level Taekwondo (ITF) Championship organized in Bangalore between 21st November and 23rd November.
Riya Nama, a student of grade II C competed and won a Gold Medal in below 20 kg Weight Category.
Twisha Singh also from grade II C secured a Bronze Medal in 21-25 kg Category.
Both the students have received a medal and a certificate and are well on their way to be the Black Belts after all.
Yellow is the most luminous of all the colours of the spectrum. It’s the colour that captures our attention more than any other colour. It’s the colour of happiness, and optimism, of enlightenment and creativity, the sunshine and spring. In the natural world, yellow is the colour of sunflowers and daffodils, egg yolks and lemons, canaries and bees. In our contemporary human-made world, yellow is the colour of Sponge Bob, the Tour de France winner’s jersey, happy faces, post-its, and signs that alert us to danger or caution.
Ekya Early Years, JP Nagar celebrated the yellow colour day by playing games. Things were removed from a magic box after a spell “abra ka dabra, gillee, gillee, gillee” and children said what it was and for what they were used. Sub Juniors played the game of musical chair with amazing energy and enthusiasm.
