Karnataka is a blessed land having a special place for literature and arts. This state is popular for umpteen number of artists and litterateurs who have been lauded worldwide. Introduced to their works, we grew up in an atmosphere which reverberated the rich culture and tradition that we seem to be forgetting today.
The theme for the annual day at Ekya School JP Nagar was ‘Katha Kavya Tarangini’, an attempt at presenting the works of eminent Kannada poets and writers through music, dance and theatre styles that Karnataka proudly cherishes. The performances of our students intended to take the audience through a journey back to those days, those virtues and those art forms advocating their need in the present day. The children sang and performed dance pieces choreographed to soothing and meaningful bhaavageethe, rangageethe and shishugeethe.
