A snail, for the topic- ‘slow moving animals’ and Bruno,a Labrador dog for the topic- ‘Pets as friends’ were brought to the ITPL campus as an incursion to QUEST which is Ekya’s niche, an inquiry based learning.
Ekya,JP Nagar celebrated the Independence day this year with zeal and enthusiasm. It was a student oriented program, with the students hosting the whole show. Dr.Bhaskar Reddy graced the occasion as our Chief guest. He hoisted the national flag and also gave away prizes to our young achievers in literature and art competitions held in our school.
A speech was given by Aashish Bharadwaj, the Head Boy of Ekya School on Independence day. There was a clear call for the youngsters to rise up, work diligently and take India to newer heights. A cultural program comprising of a dance medley titled ' Vande Mataram' was presented by the high school students. A Sanskrit patriotic song and a Kannada song were rendered by the students of the primary section.
The program was concluded with Sonali Shanbhag, Vice Head Girl of Ekya school, proposing the vote of thanks. The school also conducted an Art Exhibition to display the wonderful art work done by our young artists. The Art Exhibition was accompanied by the Scholastic Book Fair to encourage the Reading habits of our students.
[huge_it_portfolio id="50"]Celebrating 69 years of freedom, saw the youngest citizens at Ekya ITPL keeping up to its ideal of "Swachch Bharat" through the Design Thinking Showcase. Doing away with the traditional song and dance routine, we at Ekya ITPL went one step ahead in making the dream of the Father of the Nation into something more concrete and viable.
Students of Grades 5 to 11 worked on a project - Waste Management and Garbage - being the theme. They went through a rigorous routine of Brainstorming, problem solving, making prototypes over a period of four weeks and finally presented their work to an audience of proud parents and teachers.
An exhibition was also organised for our Primary section, which reinforced the concept of "Best out of waste". There were tires remodeled into elegant furniture and paper recycled into interesting artifacts, wall hangings and many more beautiful objects.
