“You don’t have to be perfect to inspire others. Let the way you handle your imperfections inspire them.”

Such quotes are inspiring, but what if you could meet a person who has actually managed to incorporate the idea into his life?

Students of Ekya School, JP Nagar were fortunate to see, meet, and talk to Niranjan Mukundan, an international para-swimmer with several achievements under his belt, the latest being bagging the highest number of medals and being the first Indian para-athlete to be declared Junior World Champion. Niranjan won 10 medals at the 11th International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports (IWAS) World Junior Games 2015 held at Stadskanaal, Netherlands from 2nd to 8th July 2015.

The audience was in complete awe of his noteworthy achievements despite the challenges that life has thrown at him. The students were truly inspired by his life and we could see a long queue of pupils with diaries waiting to get an autograph from this real life hero.

The session with Niranjan as guest speaker helped our students realise that we can win with imperfections too. All we need is a little inspiration to keep life rolling. If you too want to get inspired, just Google our guest speaker’s name. His list of achievements will surely motivate you to reach greater heights!
