At Ekya, children are encouraged to be thinkers, doers and change makers. So in addition to living the lesson in their learning environments, they participate in various co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities. These include representing the Ekya colours at various inter-school competitions – a mix of sports, literary events, theatre, music, and art. Here are some of our success stories from across the calendar.
First place at the 3rd Annual Candor Spell Bee
Ekya BTM Layout‘s first interschool participation brought home first place at the 3rd Annual Candor Spell Bee competition. It is a proud moment for our youngest campus, as our students bagged first and second position in Category 1 of the event, after an enthralling performance. With the preliminary rounds held at the school, a group of seven students from Grades 1 to 6 represented Ekya, stealing the show at the finale.
Runner-ups at Orchard Interschool Throwball Tournament
Finishing as runner-ups at the Orchard Interschool Throwball tournament, the Ekya JP Nagar Girls Throwball team has done us proud. Ms. Sharvari Ramesh, from the school team, was adjudged ‘The Best Player’ of the competition.

Pritish Javeria made us proud by being declared the ‘Best Bowler’ at the Inchara Cup 2017, also adjudged as the Man of the Match.
